How to Make Gasoline

How to Make GasolineWith the high rise of gasoline at the pump, drivers get the impression that gasoline directly comes from the Middle East oil fields. The clue word is oil, gasoline. Many products come directly from the fields to us, but gasoline has an intermediary. Oil ix processed to produce gasoline at a refinery. How are gasoline made and what other products are made from the crude oil?

HistoryGasoline occurred as an accident. The product we use in our cars started its place in our life lighting our homes. Oil came out of the ground with the intention of converting the oil into kerosene for lanterns. The process of making kerosene developed a liquid waste product later called gasoline. Charles Druyea developed the gasoline combustion engine to use this waste. Now we are looking at other oils as a means to produce a similar product, biodiesel. What other process are waiting for development to use our present waste such as nuclear waste

How is Gasoline MadeThe process begins with boiling. In contrast to cooking, we are not heating up to soften up the item, but the refinery intention is to break down the oil into its various components. . The boiling separates the gasoline and liquid gas out of the product and they rise to the top .through a vaporization process...The heaviest products drop to the bottom into the tar like material that makes up asphalt. In the middle sits the product of kerosene. With the first process, the refiner gets the kerosene but the lighter product needs more work. The process called cracking facilitates the next step. This changes the hydrocarbon molecules to develop high-octane products. This cracking process places the clear liquid under intense temperature and pressure. The final process adds the make up to the product. Colors are added and other performance increasing components.

Gasoline not drilled, but madeGasoline is not the product pulled out of the ground. Our gasoline prices go up with the price of a barrel of oil, but it is not gasoline. We may or may not have the oil in the ground, but we can make the gasoline. Why have not United States gasoline companies not build more refineries. We know how to make gasoline why do our energy companies not manufacture the product.

With the need for energy to heat our homes, produce electricity or provide for our transportation now is the time to make sure all products are fully used and convert crude products into products for consumers.
