For many, in today's fast paced world, the word organization clings to an idea of being a waste of time. However, in meeting and exceeding goals in a workplace environment, a mind with the skill of setting priorities can greatly increase its chances of attaining goals with a minimal amount of stress. A reduction in stress allows room for focus. When one has the ability to focus while at work, he or she is then able to devote the proper amount of time to a project and not waste time being consumed by stress.

Stress levels are heightened when there is a lack of preparation. This can be easily remedied by simple strategies to set aside time in order to become familiar with the information needed for a task and to prepare for it. Whenever time is involved, prioritizing is key. A daily schedule that consists of buying out time, in order to prepare, greatly reduces stress. This allows an individual to be able to have all of the information needed in order to accomplish a goal. When preparation is made, accomplished goals easily follow.

People today are affected by a sudden change of their priorities for a set day. Even a slight change in a schedule can cause stress. Organization can create an advantage from a seeming disadvantage. At the beginning of a day, put in order that which is needs to be accomplished in order of priority. When time is organized to allot even for the little things, it is easier to adjust when thrown an unexpected project. The changes are then made to take time away from nonessential work and given to the new, more urgent project. When the more pressing matters are finished, focus can be shifted to the less time consuming projects. Not only is there release from the stress of needing to accomplish daily tasks, but also the satisfaction of knowing that organization prevented a potentially stressful situation.

When a person sets priorities, he or she is able to accomplish more in a set time-frame. The more goals that are reached, the less time spent stressing over how to fulfill those requirements. When a person is able to organize priorities and time, he or she is able to attain a work environment free of extreme amounts of stress and anxiety. Stress, which paralyzes the unorganized person, can be reduced to almost nothing with just a little bit of planning and that word which is the best time saver in the world, organization.
