Getting Scammed at Ptc Sites

From 3arf

Paid-to-Click or PTC site owners are able to cheat their members in many ways. Some of which are to delay cashout, adding cheat links or just closing down the site. It takes diligence and even sometimes heartbreak to learn what sites are trustworthy and those that are not.

One way a PTC site can cheat their members is to delay paying them when they request a cashout of their balance. A payment delay can occur in a variety of ways. Many sites have a 30 day wait for a premium member and a 60 day wait for a standard member. However, after waiting the required number of days the payment may still have not been sent. Sometimes there are valid reasons for a delay but not always. Some PTC site owners will even resort to deleting cashout requests to avoid paying their members. Users need to be aware of shady site operators so they don't lose more than just their time at a site.

Adding cheat links on a site is one of the worst ways in which to cheat members. Cheat links are designed to catch auto-click scripts that are installed on browsers. However in many cases the link is displayed on the actual surf page that could accidentally be clicked by a user. In many cases links like these will erase the users balance. Having cheat links that work in this manner are doing nothing more than cheating the user. Making matters worse is when you are told it is your fault for clicking the link when contacting the site owner for support. There are other ways in which to incorporate a cheat link onto a page and not have it visible to the user.

The worst of all possible ways to get cheated at a PTC site is when the site closes down without any warning. Some PTC owners try to do their best to let users know what is going on if they are having trouble. Others seem to think it is better to take their users investments and disappear. These are the scam artists and fraudsters of the PTC world. Many times shady site owners will attempt to start new sites to take advantage of their users all over again. It is not uncommon for the same individual to have two, three or even more sites in attempt to defraud people. The best approach is to not jump head first into a new PTC site no matter how good it appears to be.

You may never know for sure if a site is legitimate. The best you can do is check to see what other people have to say. Refutable sites should have a forum of some kind to access. There are also online blogs and other message boards to find information. Always try to research a site and be prepared to lose your time and investment.
