Flowers for every American Holiday
Who doesn’t like flowers? Only perhaps people who are severely allergic, but even they must agree that flowers never fail to bring a pop of color to a room, or a touch of elegant beauty to a garden or yard. This is the nature of flowers. They were created for attraction of the eye and for joy of the soul. They decorate people’s lives and brighten their days, and, in general, help bring peace and appreciation to the world.
Flowers have many purposes. Apart from being brought as gifts, they can be symbols of celebration. This touches upon the rich American traditional holidays and their flowers. Nearly every holiday has a flower dedicated to it. Thus, it is important to be able to tell which flowers to put up with each coming celebration.
Spring. In the spring, it is the best idea to use those fresh new flowers that have just bloomed, no matter how tiny they are. Fall. Violets and snapdragons are the flowers of this season; however, for Thanksgiving it’s best to stick to something a bit more traditional such as petunias. Since these flowers can be grown outdoors, they can pretty up a garden as well as make an easy bouquet centerpiece inside.
