Finding Real Telecommuting Jobs

From 3arf

We all want to find a job that allows us to use our skills and work in the comfort of our own home office, right? Sounds easy; well where are the jobs? Are there any real jobs like this out there? The answer is a surprising yes. You just need to know where to go to find them and how to search for them. Here are some tips to help push you in the right direction:

I have started researching this topic ten years ago when I first made the decision that I wanted to telecommute. I spent numerous hours searching for real jobs. I learned the hard way how to wean out the scams. I must have fallen for every scam that was out there. I thought I was going to get rich stuffing envelopes, making crafts, clipping coupons, etc. You get the idea. Now it sounds crazy, but at the time I was so desperate to work at home that I was grasping straws. Then I went to the internet and found some better sources that really helped.

Tjobs.com is a great resource for anyone in the market for telecommuting employment. There is a $15 yearly fee for a password to have access to the contact information to the hiring contact if you are interested in any of the openings, but you are free to look through their site for free and see what types of openings they currently have posted before you purchase the password. I have gotten hired from companies through this site.

Moneymakingmommy.com is another excellent website that I have been using ever since it launched back in 1999. Kelly Land, the owner, had been researching working at home for a very long time and really knows her stuff! Her website is very informative with articles that are very helpful. She offers all types of advice about working from home. She has a newsletter you can signup for and she also offers a blog where she posts new jobs openings that she finds almost daily. This is one of my favorite websites!

Telecommuters need to understand that sometimes the jobs we do find will only be temporary and last until the project we were selected for is completed. Sometimes based the quality of our work, the company may decide to keep us and select us for another project.

Now, that we know that a job won't just find us and fall into our laps not matter how much we wish, we have the hard work to do of find one for ourselves. Following these simple steps will hopefully make your job of finding an honest telecommuting job a bit easier.
