Easter Basket Ideas for Teenage Girls

From 3arf

Once upon a time all you had to do was throw some fake grass in a basket and set them off on "the hunt." Then they became teenagers...teenage girls to be specific. If you are lucky enough to have a teenage girl who will still Easter egg hunt, (instead of screaming at you "I'm not a baby anymore!") then here are some ideas of what to put in her basket.

Firstly, the type of basket you use is important. If you use the old fashioned Easter basket, chances are she will not be amused. Yeah, it's just a basket, bear with me. You see just a basket, she's sees you treating her as a child. She's a young adult, moody and emotional, but a miniature grown up nonetheless. She needs a grown up basket. I suggest something like a bath set basket, a large purse or a tote bag. She can reuse all of these so that's also a bonus. Now that you've picked out a basket let's move on to its contents.

Just say no to the plastic grass. Trust me, no kid ever really cared if they had fake grass lining their basket in the first place. You want to go for something a little more grown up, like that really cute top she saw at the mall the other day. You line her basket with that and she will be very pleased.

Another idea for a basket stuffer is bath items, such as body wash, perfume, and other personal care items. If you've already bought a bath set to use for a basket, then you are set. Most girls love anything scented. Try to pick out her favorite scent or color. Toss in a loofah or a personalized wash rag with her monogram on it to make it more special.

A few more ideas for her basket are makeup or hair accessories. She might also like a gift card from her favorite store-this could be The Gap or even Starbucks as long as it's something she would actually use. If you can afford it, consider getting her small electronics. Has she been asking for an mp3 player or a digital camera? These are great gift ideas that fit in a basket.

Maybe get her a book, a CD or a movie she's into. If she talks nonstop about Justin Bieber, then get her his CD. If she's like most girls, she's probably into the Twilight saga and would totally appreciate the books or movies. The best way to choose what to get a teenage girl is by asking her what she likes. Pay attention to what she's interested in and you can't go wrong.
