Easter Basket Ideas for Teen Girls
Contrary to popular beliefs , teen girls are pretty easy when it comes to figuring out what they like, not like little girls who like Barbies one day then my little ponies the next, teenage girls are very passionate when it comes to the things, movies, music and boys they like, there for having a longer investment in it.
How can you find out what to put in a teenage girl Easter basket?, well just take a look at her room, most likely she will have posters and magazines all over the place featuring those things that they love.
If you are still lost, here are a couple of themes that might help.
Twilight saga. Take a black, silver or brown basket and fill it with books, movies, soundtracks, posters, cards, jewelry, stickers, pretty much anything you can find that its twilight related. Most likely if she’s in Jr. High o High School, she will like anything twilight. Now if you want to be more specific ask if she’s a team Jacob (werewolf) or team Edward (vampire) and select the items related to each team.
Vampires. If she’s into the vampire tales, you can do a book basket, with all the classic stories about vampires staring with Bram Stoker's Dracula, Anne Rice´s Interview with a vampire, Stephenie Meyer´s Twilight, L.J. Smith´s Vampire Diaries and The vampire series of Darren Shan´s Cirque du Freak. You can also do a DVDs basket with all the movie versions of the books mention adding maybe Nosferatu and Shadow of a Vampire, which are great classic vampire movies.
Fashion. There’s nothing else that girls like more than clothes and fashion, so for the fashionista in your family, get her a basket that reflects her fashion persona. The basket can include subscriptions to Teen Vogue or Seventeen, gift cards to stores like H&M and forever 21 and tons of accessories, which will make any old outfit new again.
Alice in wonderland. Almost every girl in the world, especially teens can identify with the Alice in wonderland story, specially the new one from Tim Burton´s Film, so an Alice eater basket is perfect. The basket must have something regarding the white rabbit, hearts and colorful candy. Stores like Hot Topic have dozen of items with your favorite character from the story, from t-shirts to accessories, also bookstores like Borders will have the classic book as well as several items from the new movie, this will be the perfect gifts for that girl who dreams of visiting wonderland.
Music. Every teen has their own soundtrack, which will constantly change, a gifts card from her favorite downloading source will be a great gift to put in her basket as well as an upgrade on her current mp3 player or new covers for the one she already has, new headphones, CDs for the ones who still like to buy the originals and maybe even a case of blank CDs, so she can make a mix of her favorite music to play at parties, or give to friends.
Books. There are still a couple of people out there who still love reading more than anything, for those I suggest getting them Jane Austen’s six novels, which include Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion. Also there are Journals and cards base on her work and regency life that you can find at book stores that will complement the basket and allow the reader to write down her own thoughts. It is a truth universally acknowledged that every girl must read Jane Austen and that her work is relatable no matter the time we live in.
Artsy girl. For the girl who is creative and loves to draw and paint, there’s only one place you can find everything she will love, a craft store, places like Michaels will allow you to find everything form drawing books and papers to paints, brushes, pencils, colors, whatever she loves. If you don’t know exactly what you are looking for, ask someone who works at the store if they can help you put the basket together and add a gift card in case there’s something you missed, also ask if they are having any art classes at the store, most of them host creative workshops, you can sing her up for one.
