Decorating Tips for July 4th Picnics
Many persons truly enjoy the Fourth of July. National historic pride is the forerunner of spirited activities such as picnics and firework shows. The Fourth of July picnic is as American as Mom’s apple pie. It is very important, then, you decorate in a fun, festive way for your Fourth of July picnic.
The table is going to have the most impact with regard to celebrating the Fourth of July. Place a red, white and blue tablecloth on your table and/or where it is you place your food items. Make sure to have plenty of July 4th themed napkins. You can place the paper themed napkins in baskets near the food. Good food items naturally are hot dogs; hamburgers, potato salad, carrot and celery sticks and beverages such as punch and iced tea. Buy a bag of chips too.
The simple menu already in place, you can continue decorating your backyard with all types of fun, festive Fourth of July decorations. Why not purchase some festive red, white, and blue banners; and streamers? Lace streamers on your privacy fence; around your backyard awning, if applicable and anywhere the streamers are assured to get noticed.
You will wish to make a centerpiece too for your table. Put together a festive basket of bright blue, white and red carnations. You can incorporate a red, white and blue foil type of embellishment—that is, if you can find wrapping foil along these lines. Cut the foil in narrow strips and strew it throughout the floral bouquet.
Assure dinnerware goes along with a nice Fourth of July theme. Naturally, any table covering will also require you express your national pride. Do not be afraid to lavishly decorate the picnic area; addressing your “red, white and blue stars and stripes are forever” theme. Your family and guests will appreciate your enthusiasm.
The entry door, too, where your guests arrive should have some type of flag decoration or Fourth of July decoration made specifically for it. In making this welcoming introduction: there will be no doubt that guests are in for a fun-filled Fourth of July event.
Decorate yourself too with a blue T-shirt and a red bandanna or a flag themed scarf. Your apron, if you are doing the out-of-door grilling can also go along with the other house decorations. Your guests and family will undoubtedly get into the Fourth of July holiday spirit.
