Comparison of the 2010 Luxury Seaven Seat Suvs

From 3arf

Before you buy your next luxury SUV consider how it measures up to others in its class. BMW, Audi, and Acura are some of the largest makers of SUV vehicles for the 2010 season. How do they compare on price, fuel mileages, and features. Below we will break down the 2010 models offered by these three companies.

The 2010 Acura DMX is a seven-passenger luxury vehicle. The Acura offers a strong v-6 engine with 300 hp with some of the highest safety ratings. Although, the DMX 644 was involved in a recall due to a missing bolt that was not properly installed to the A-pillar. What this means for consumers:

In the event of a crash resulting from side airbag deployment this missing bolt increases the risk of injury to both driver and front seat passengers. Considering the Acura with basic factory features can cost a consumer $42,230 this is a hefty price for an automobile that has already been recalled. But, the Acura offers strong acceleration, and quite impressive power, it lacks to its competitors for gas mileage and its more than touchy steering. Buyer beware the 2010 Acura DMX is a great luxury SUV it does have its less than perfect ratings.

Also, on the market is the 2010 Audi Q7 luxury SUV.This seven passenger vehicle will cost a consumer $46,900 for just the basic factory direct model. The Audi offers high-tech luxury and safety features, it has superior design inside and out, the new Audi is also available with the diesel fuel option. However, it sounds like a great vehicle it to has its faults. The rear-seat has no factory built in entertainment and, is very cramped. The Audi also offers a less than great performance on fuel mileage. Considering the Audi weighs 5,000 lbs empty imagine what it weighs with seven passengers. The Audi also offers rear parking sensors, power lift gate, a trip computer and automatic climate control plus, you have added features like xenon headlights, rear view camera, and drive-seat memory settings.  The Audi Q7 has alot of bang for the buck for consumers.

Last on our list is the new 2010 BMW X5 luxury SUV. BMW is famous for coupes and sedans that are built for luxury and comfort and their SUV is no different.  The new BMW is built with a strong foundation and is ranked high among the luxury mid-size SUV class.  Starting at $47,600 the BMW offers anti-lock brakes, rollover sensor, dual and 2nd row airbags, and a 4 star passenger protection rating.  Sounds like a great model but, the BMW does have some flaws. Those flaws are to include heavy steering at a low rate of speed, firm side riding, and a small sized 3rd row seating. With one of the heftiest price tags for an SUV the 2010 BMW X5 is built to be powerful and fuel efficient. This model is also available with a turbo diesel option.

Consumers should always look at the pros and cons of buying a luxury SUV before going to a dealership. SUV's are built for luxury and comfort. But, is luxury and comfort more important than safety?
