Cavaliers with Spinners or not
Spinner wheels provide a dynamic and creative means to add significant bling to your ride. The creation and improvement of spinner wheel function and appearance will provide you with the means to express your individuality and wealth to everyone who sees you cruising along. As you stop for a signal, the added dimension of the chrome spinner contrasted against the slowing base wheel is a real eye-catcher. At a cost. Those suckers are not cheap! Well, except for the plastic discount ones, but they never seem to spin too well in the store to start with, do they?
In the Northern states, premium wheels and fine rides are a seasonal thing. Frozen slush can really mess up a good ride, and those twenty-twos don't usually come in the snow-tire variety. So, beyond the cost of the spinners to start with, the added cost of the utility set must be considered. Then, storage and swapping is there too. But Dude - those spinners are where it is at!
On a Chevy Cavalier? First, they don't even make them any more. Second - they were never exactly admired classics. Now - I have bought several, used to work for GM, and am not trashing the concept of Cavalier ownership. Some fine memories and good value has come from that marque. But let's talk basic economics here. A cherry used Cavalier in really pristine condition is gonna run you - say - five grand - tops? And a suitable set of spinners made of metal instead of chromed plastic is gonna run you - how much? Don't forget that you gotta have rubber on those rims too, Jack!
So, speaking for myself, if I am going to lay out some serious cash for a set of spinners with suitable tires for my ride, I am not going to have them cost more than the ride does to start with. I would probably not even settle for a Sunbird either - nothing against that fine Pontiac Cavalier either. A Denali works - but a Cavalier?

Seriously, as a creative writer with a great deal of automotve experience, this topic has intrigued me for months! How could I approach this subject and devote serious contemplation in a manner that would give it justice? Is it deserving of seriousness and justice? Haunting me with seeming simplicity, it has taunted me from the ranks of the ignored topics. Finally driven to engaging in the merciful kill, I only hope that I have honorable given it the honor it deserves. Or does it?
