Care Packages for Military

From 3arf

With many of our military personnel overseas fighting various conflicts around the world, there has never been a better time to send a care package to them. Family and friends may wonder what kind of products to put in these care packages for military personnel.

My nephew, who is proudly serving with the United States Army in Afghanistan, gets care packages on a monthly basis from our extended family. To help him get through this are away from the family we tried to put different types of products into these care packages.

A touch of home is always appreciated to the military personnel, and this does include my nephew. This short article will give you ideas of what you can send to brighten the day of the military personnel stationed overseas.

Unscented baby wipes

Unscented baby wipes come in very handy as one can imagine and they have very many uses to the soldiers. These baby wipes can come in handy to wipe dust off a face, wipe sticky fingers, and even take the place of a shower for the soldier who is out on the field with no running water. The baby wipes are not just for babies, they are a good addition to the care packages for military personnel.

Crackers snack packs

The cracker snack packs that have six cracker sandwiches in them are in excellent little snack for the soldiers. A ready-made snack can be eaten on the go, with very little preparation to something the package and devour.

They make several varieties of these then you can find them in any department or grocery store within the United States and they do ship easy. These are also a great addition to the care packages for military personnel that you will be sending out.

Fun things

A deck of playing cards, some dice, and some poker chips are also good to include in this box as they are light weight and do provide the soldiers with some form of entertainment when they are so far away from home. The soldiers can do many things with these such as play poker or even solitaire in their down time.

Do not forget to add a small tablet and pencils in case they want to play with the dice or to keep score with a card game. This is a welcome addition to the care packages for military personnel.

You can put into care packages for the military personnel many things. Items such as small tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, small packages of peanuts, or something else that you know the soldier enjoys.

It is not always a good idea to include chocolate bars, as they will melt in the hot desert sun of many foreign lands. It is not a good idea to send back takes over either because they will be squished in transit.
