Candles that are Popular during Thanksgiving
Nothing says Thanksgiving like a scented candle that has the amazing ability to conjure up visions of pumpkin pie or cranberry stuffing. Scented candles are popular year round, however, for some people they have a special place during the Autumn season. Cooler, crisper air, falling leaves and shorter days are all harbingers of the approaching holidays. First comes Halloween and then everyone's favorite "pig out" day!
Thanksgiving is a very special holiday when families and friends get together to celebrate life, create memories and the love of great food. There is no better way to kick the season into high gear than with candles that boast the best scents like:
- Cranberry. This scent is a hallmark of Autumn and Thanksgiving meals. They are available in many delicious varieties like "Cranberry Crumble" and "Cranberry Apple". The tart scent of cranberry can make your mouth water for some of that cranberry sauce always present during the Thanksgiving meal.
- Apple. This wonderfully warm scent is available in everything from "Warm Apple Pie" to "Baked Apple Strudel". Apple scented candles are a favorite perhaps because they bring about thoughts of harvests and maybe a comforting touch of home. Some people have fond memories of their Mother and/or Grandmother baking homemade apple pies and the scent of the candles are a way to bring back those memories each year.
- Pumpkin. Who does not love the smell of a freshly baked pumpkin pie? Okay, maybe there are people that do like not anything pumpkin, but that is not the point here. Pumpkin scented candles cover a nice variety of scents like "Pumpkin Pie Spice" and "Pumpkin Pie". For many people, when pumpkin scented candles hit the stores, it signifies the Autumn season and Thanksgiving foods.
- Vanilla. This has remained a popular scent for candle lovers for many years. Vanilla candles are available in a variety of "flavors" like "French Vanilla", "Warm Vanilla" and of course vanilla mixed with other scents. This is a comforting aroma to some people, bringing a relaxing feeling and thoughts of home and happy times.
- Nuts. This category covers things like toasted almonds and walnuts. These are a favorite scent among some people for many reasons. Some people like the smell of nuts being lightly toasted in the oven and some people just like that scent coming from a burning candle. Some people, who are allergic to nuts, can choose these scented candles as a way to enjoy nuts without the health risk.
No matter what your favoritescentis for Thanksgiving, you are sure to find it in a candle jar or tin. Well, that is unless your favorite scent happens to be turkey or ham!
