Passenger ejection from a convertible is something that can never be improved. But there is a quick-fix for that problem: Always wear a seat-belt!

If you can get past all the inherent squeaks and rattles of a convertible, safety should not be a concern. Extra maintenance is also something that comes with that shiny new ride. Convertible owners are encouraged to wash their top, whether vinyl or cloth, very often. Waterproofing is also a recommended step for your drop-top. Interior care will also increase due to the inside of your car being exposed to the elements. These are just a few things to keep in mind when considering a convertible. The truth is, these cars are pretty darn safe and a load of fun. If safety is your major concern, fear not! Just strap on that seat-belt, drive with some sense, and have yourself a blast!
