Busy Mom new Year Resolutions
A New Year's resolution for a busy mom sounds like a magic trick that a magician has up his sleeve, doesn't it? Most moms are so busy that they do not have time to make a so-called list that many experts recommend this time of year. But, since you have decided that it is time to get your life in order, your short list needs to be produced rather quickly. Reality tells us that moms are extremely busy people, as they are what makes many of our homes tick today. New Year's resolutions, or not, the new year will be an awesome time for you and your family.
All moms should make the necessary steps to make more time for themselves. You may ask yourself if this is possible. If you choose to think it is not possible, it probably will not be. Take a minimum of 10 minutes a day, and read a short devotion for the day and reflect on what it means to you. By taking a few minutes out of your day, your family will thank you. You will have had time to reflect on yourself and get yourself in a positive mindset for the day. The power of positive thinking can be highly contagious. Therefore, the whole family benefits.
We all know that exercise is important and we should be more physically fit. A great way to invest in you and your family is to join a local fitness center. The YMCA's across the United States, are a great way for the whole family to jump on the exercise bandwagon! As a busy mom, this is the ultimate time saver in keeping your body fit. While the kids are attending their swimming lesson, you can hop on over to a treadmill and walk a couple of miles. With sessions for every member of the family, this is the ultimate gift you can give yourself and your family. Face it, a healthy heart is a gift in itself!
With moms being extremely busy, a third New Year's resolution may be stretching things. Make a New Year's resolution of hosting a family game night once a month. Your kids may think this is kind of corny, but will thank you once you have held the second family game night. We busy moms find ourselves going 10,000 different ways and when we schedule a family event on the calendar, our kids love it! A simple gesture of making time for them, is one our kids truly appreciate.
Now that your short list of three simple New Year's resolutions is completed, you can sit back and relax! Strive to do the best that you can to achieve your New Year's resolutions. By making only three, your chances of being successful are already increased. Life is truly about the simple things. In all the craziness that we live in, by reflecting on yourself, exercising regularly, and planning a family game night, you will be one happy mom! A busy mom can be successful and happy when it comes to New Year's resolutions.
