If your boss hates you, you are probably doing things that annoy him or her. It is up to you to do something about it. You will learn ten reasons your boss hates you and what to do about it.

You are a minority. Some bosses are biased toward African-Americans, Hispanics, Indians and foreigners. There is nothing you can do to change your ethnic status.

You cause a disruption. You slow down the operations by frequently coming into the office late. You also talk loudly on your cell phone for a while and interrupt others while they talk. You must work toward being responsible and respectful.

You have poor work habits. You procrastinate by taking too long to get started on your assigned tasks. You also sleep on the job a lot. Another problem you have is putting too little effort into your work. You need to be serious about your work.

The boss is jealous of you because you are too good. You are so efficient that it drives him crazy. You excel more on the organizational duties than he ever has. His jealousy is his problem, not yours.

You show up the boss. You correct her oral blunders. You undermine her authority. When she messes up, you point out her flaws and make fun of her in front of your fellow workers. It is time to start respecting her and stop trying to force her to be more competent.

You are a troublemaker. You are not cooperative when you work on a team. You are argumentative and combative with your co-workers and supervisors. You also insult the customers and clients. A good solution is to learn etiquette and anger management.

You do not participate. You neither attend all of the meetings nor offer any suggestions when your input is sought or needed. You are supposed to do everything you can to be an asset to your firm.

You are a know-it-all. Because you think you know everything about your job, you will not accept or heed anyone’s advice or criticism. Having a bad attitude will be your downfall.

You are untrustworthy. You spread rumors and steal. Stop doing this.
