Best Sources of Information for Making Money Online
The best source of information for making money online is a website I found titled moneymakingmommy.com. It gives a rundown of how to make money online, as well as a few postings of where the best things are. Here is a quick summary of a few of the things I've tried:
First of all, there are survey sites. So far, this has been the best opportunity I have seen. When I started, I was getting paid $3 for every survey I completed. Not only that, but I got to test products that hadn't yet been introduced to the consumer. It was great. But the online survey market has been flooded with people trying to make a few extra bucks, and very few survey sites are rewarding with cash. Most sites now give sweepstakes entries. Either that, or they have decreased the amount of "points" they are giving you, which you can exchange for cash or gift cards. In general, I would now discourage anyone from starting on the survey sites. You will not get much of a reward from these.
You also have "data entry" sites. The premise for these sites is that you enter data for companies. This is the biggest scam I've seen. I've never come across anything that pays well under this genre of online jobs.
Then there are the "secret shoppers." You might find something that pays, but most often you won't find anything that is worth your time. When you do find something, you'll be asked to do something like go into a Taco Bell and spend 45 minutes observing everything from how quick the employees clean off the tables to how the carbonation levels of the soda were. All of this will amount to a free lunch at Taco Bell and a few bucks. Not really worth it for 45 minutes of work. I'd stay away from these as well.
There is a seemingly simple way to make a ton of money online going around right now. The idea is that you are sending out a chain letter to as many people as possible with your name on it. They are supposed to send $1 to each person on the list and in turn, their name will go on the list and you'll end up with a ton of money, supposedly. But this has been identified as illegal and can get you into a lot of trouble if you participate.
And now I'm writing for Helium. There are a few other sites out there, but Helium has worked best for me. The more articles you get out there, the more money you can make. It doesn't grow that quickly, but it doesn't take a ton of time to do. In addition, unlike the surveys, the more people that are drawn to this, the more we can make, potentially. The more popular this site gets, the more money the advertisers will advertise, and then Helium passes more onto the writers. And if you write a top ranked article, you stand to do pretty well.
At the time, online blog/article writing seems to be the best source of income. I hope you've experienced the same thing!
