Alternatives to a Traditional Christmas Tree
When people think of Christmas, they think of several things. People think of presents, peace, love, happiness, and. . . well, Christmas trees. Christmas trees have been a major part of the Christmas season for a long time, and people love to put them up. But what if you have no Christmas tree, do not feel like putting one up, do not have space for one, or have not got enough money for a tree? Well, there are several solutions you could turn to, so never fear!
One solution is to use another type of plant. You can use any sort of plant that you may already have growing in your apartment, house, or other form of home. You can put lights and Christmas ornaments on your other plants and you can even a star or angel on the top of it! You don't have to have a Christmas tree to decorate a plant, after all!
You can also decorate the rest of your home. You can hang mistletoe above your door, stream Christmas lights around your home, and even hang Christmas ornaments from tacks in the wall or you could tape them up.
Another option would be to create a Christmas candle wreath. To do this, you would collect some Pine boughs and five candles. One of the candles should be pink, one should be white, and the rest can be any color you want them to be, though purple is most common for the other three. You will also want a pie dish (it can be a super cheesy one) and some of that foam that people tend to put fake plants in - it is usually green and can be found places likethis.
You will want to put the foam into the pie dish and stick the candles into the oasis foam. You will want the white one in the center and the other four in a circle or square around it. Then, stick the boughs into the foam around the candles. You will want to make sure that you stick them in at an angle that will allow you to burn the candles without burning the pine boughs - make sure to leave a space, though, so that you can put water into the pie dish. Next, put some water into the dish. Now, you have a Christmas candle wreath. You can decorate it pretty much the same way as you would a traditional Christmas tree.
