ALT-9 Make Money Online
Making money on the internet is growing in popularity especially nowadays with unemployment rising and the economy faltering. Being able to make a living sitting in front of one's computer for a few hours per day is an attractive prospect indeed but it isn't that easy. While it is possible to pick up a few extra bucks with minimal effort, the average person is not going to get rich or even replace their regular income working online, however you can definitely pick up a little extra cash.
The easiest things to start doing online that require no investment, minimal time and effort is paid to read email and paid surveys. Most people just getting started usually give both a try.
There are many, many paid to read email sites out there with some being legitimate and some being scams. There are a couple of sites out there that will help you in determining which is which. The first one isbeenpaid.comthat lists sites that are paying and the other isGPTboycott.comwhich lists sites that are known scams or that are having financial problems and not paying their members. I recommend checking with both sites if you plan on getting involved with paid to read email.
I'll also give you a tip about evaluating a good paid to read email site. Take a look at their terms of service and find out what the minimum payout level is. The minimum payout level is the dollar amount you must reach in earnings before they will actually pay you. If it is high, such as $20 or more, I would recommend you don't bother with them. Most sites with high payout levels don't intend on paying their members. They will make money for as long as they can and then when people start getting close to being paid, they will close down and disappear.
Paid email used to be more popular some years back when they first started. A lot of advertisers made use of the concept of having a ready and willing audience for their ads at relatively low cost but as time passed, they realized that while paid emails got people to their websites, the conversion rates (visitors that actually bought what was being advertised) were low as most were just clicking the link to get paid from the paid to read program so advertisers aren't using them like they used to.
If you want to give it a try though, look for sites with payout levels with no minimum or very low such as $1 or less. There are legitimate companies with payout levels this low so you can get paid every month. For example,Quick Rewardshas no minimum payout and they pay to your PayPal account within 48 hours of your request and they not only have paid to read email but also paid surveys.
Just as with the paid email sites, you'll find some scammers out there with the paid survey sites too. There are a lot of good ones though and they're not hard to find and you don't have to pay anything to do them. If you find a site that is asking for a fee to join to take surveys, don't do it. It's probably a scam but even if it's not, there are enough goodsurvey sitesthat you can join for free, you don't need to bother with any that ask for a fee. You'll make more money with surveys than you will with paid email but you're not going to get rich here either, but then again, you won't have to take much time or put forth much effort to pick up a few extra bucks.
If you really want to get into making money online, look for a goodaffiliate program. There are some really good ones that will let you join for free and sell their products and services to make money. They will even give you personalized WebPages that you can advertise and also give you training, all for free.
Other ways to make money online include writing, such as on Helium or other sites such as Guru, Elance and Associated Content. Helium is the best place for new or inexperienced writers while the other sites require the writer to prove themselves and establish a reputation before you will be able to sell articles.
Blogging is another way to make money online. You can do it for free at sites such as blogger.com and you can monetize your site with ads from Google Adsense, infolinks or Widgetbucks, etc. Some of the other paid blog sites or having your own website will give you more freedom in monetizing your site and let you advertise products from companies like ClickBank or Commission Junction. Whether you have your own website or a blog though, you'll need to keep a steady flow of visitors to click on those ads so "content is king" as they say. Your website will need to provide valuable information and your blog will have to be interesting or entertaining so it will take some work to make it successful.
One site that I found that is unique, fun and easy to use and make money with is Squidoo. It's sort of a combination of writing and webpage building and you can make a page in a matter of a few minutes with their wizard that will guide you through it, no experience needed. You can make the page about any subject that interests you (within certain limits) and there are many ways to monetize your page and offer books and other items related to your subject to make money. There's no limit on the number of pages you can make either so the potential is pretty much unlimited.
Well, I've listed just a handful of ways to make money online with no investment and there are many more so if you're interested, I recommend you give it a try. It can be very rewarding and it's actually quite enjoyable.
