ALT-5 Are Paid Surveys a Scam
Earning money with Surveys is a difficult task. A lot of websites claim that you can quit your nine to five job and spend part of the day sitting in front of the computer while answering questions and polls and getting paid tons of cash for you valuable time and effort.
Nonetheless, I have found that the vast majority of paid surveys adverts are a scam. Sometimes you get asked to purchase a particular item (normally a CD or a book) that contains a list with all the sites "that really works" and all you have to do is sign up for those websites and watch the money roll into your account because they have already spent the time doing the research for you. In fact, is "hassle-free".
Unfortunately the truth is much sadder. Yes, you purchase the product, and yes, you sign up for all various sites and take all the possible and available surveys on the each site and wait. And then, after waiting, you wait some more and nothing happens. Except for the fact that you lost some money and that your email account has become the target of every possible spammer on the Internet.
We also have to admit that not every paid website in the vast realms of Internet is a scam. There are a few sites that will pay you for those surveys but not enough to make you reach early retirement. However, these sites also have a catch twenty-two situation. Normally there is a minimum amount of twenty-five to fifty dollars (sometimes more) that you have to have into your account before you can draw it out. This is amount is not easily reach. First off all because the amount earned in each survey is very low. And second, because most of the times you will be rewarded with sweepstakes instead. Sweepstakes are a type of marketing product that you obtained in the form of numbers. Once you have enough sweepstakes you can submit free entries into a context for the chance to win a particular prize from the competition. Unfortunately, you will get hundreds of this type of surveys and very few of the actual cash ones, so it is just a matter of doing some maths.
There is another type of "paid survey" that has become very popular in the last few years among the legitimate sites that are becoming not so legitimate. In this case you will receive a survey that will "survey you" to see if you qualified for the cash or the sweepstakes rewards. Sometimes there will be simple questions like your age, gender, location, etc, that you will be able to answer in a matter of seconds. But gradually, they will send you more and more surveys that will tied you to the computer for periods of five or ten minutes and still tell you that you do not qualified. Of course you do not qualified, they have already taken all the information they needed from you! Ciao website is a good example of this type of scam.
If you sign up for any survey sites, I do recommend you to fully read the Terms & Conditions because it will state clearly that your email address will be disclosed to third parties and converting your account into fresh bait for spammers.
