Well, it sort of depends on how much money you want to make and how much effort you want to put into it. The easiest ways to make money online is with paid emails and paid surveys. You only need an internet connection and you can make some money. You won't get rich or even come close to replacing your income from your job but it is fine for picking up a few extra bucks a month.
There are a lot of paid email sites out there and I will tell you what to look out for when you sign up for these things. Some of them will promise you 5 cents or 10 cents or more for every email read and link clicked. None of the legitimate sites will pay that. It's more like 1/4 cent to 1 cent per email. One of the easiest ways to find out if one of these sites is a scam is to go to their TOS or Terms Of Service and look for the "minimum payout amount". This is the minimum amount that you have to build your balance up to before you can cash out or get paid. The legitimate sites will have a low payout amount. The best ones are $1 or less. A lot of them are higher. Email-pays-u is a legitimate site and they have a minimum of $35 but they give you a $10 bonus when you sign up and read a few emails. The sites that are scams will have very high payout minimums like $50, $100 or $500. Believe me, nobody will ever reach $500 before the company folds up it's tents and disappears with all the money. I've seen a bunch of them come and go. The low payout minimum companies will let you cash out every month or two so even if they do go out of business at some point, you won't lose much.
As for the survey companies, you can make some money with them. I have made several hundred dollars doing paid surveys. You have to watch out for the scam sites with them too. The main thing is this: do not pay a fee to join a survey site, club, company or get information on paid surveys. For those of you that want to shoot a little higher and want the opportunity to make more than just a few bucks a month, then affiliate programs are your best bet. Again, you don't need much more than a computer and an internet connection to start with although later on if you really want to take it to the top level, you will need your own domain and website. You don't need it to start out though. There are so many programs out there on the web, it's mind boggling. Here again, the sign of a scam is if they are asking you to pay money to join. You shouldn't have to.
