ALT-4 Are Paid Surveys a Scam

From 3arf

When I became a stay-at-home mom, I was convinced that there would be plenty of on line jobs for me to do to supplement my income. I was wrong! After being scammed from several sites that charged me to join, I came across paid survey sites. I thought that finding these sites was my silver lining. Signing up for several, I thought I would make a great income. Wrong again!

Most of the time, I would answer about 10 questions and then find out that the I was not qualified for the particular survey. That means, no payment for the time I just spent on it. Then, when I came across paid mail and survey sites, I would click on the paid email to confirm. Instead of getting credit for the email, I found out that I have to sign up for something (or pay for membership to get credit). It usually costs more for the membership than the money I would make by doing it.

Therefore, I fully believe that all of these sites are not necessarily scams, because you do get paid, but I feel that you would be paying into these places more than you would make. Not to mention the fact that you are agreeing to receive lots of junk email.

The latest site that I have tried is "Inbox Dollars". You can do surveys, get paid emails, play games for cash and refer others. This one has more options than most, but probably every other survey that I tried to take said that I was not eligible, even though they gave me these surveys based on my profile. The paid emails that I received averaged about $.25 per each one, but when I clicked to confirm them, they wanted me to sign up for items that would have cost anywhere from approximately $2.00 to $39.00. It was not worth it. As far as the paid games, you could practice for free, but to get paid for playing you had to add money to your account. They call it an "upgrade".  It would not be so bad if they would take it out of your earnings, but they don't.

Don't misunderstand me. I am sure that there are probably legitimate sites out there, but as of yet, I have not found any.

My advise is to please read all the fine print before you waste your time and money. If you do sign up for these sites, please take this into consideration before making a decision.
