ALT-3 What Mothers Day Means for a new Mom
For a new mom, Mother's Day is more than a holiday. Mother's Day is recognition of the greatest task they have taken on. Mother's Day means so many things to a new mom. A new mom realizes that she has the responsibility of forming character, integrity, and love in a human being who has yet to impact our world. For some new mom out there, Mother's Day will serve as her celebration for the future President of the United States that she is raising. One mom is instilling faith in a future priest or evangelist. Another mom is teaching bravery and character to a soldier who will one day serve their country. Each new mother will realize that their precious child will somehow affect the world we live in, whether by good or bad. The mother will decide at that moment to insure that her child is raised to have a positive effect on this world. Each new mother will realize that her needs and wants in life have now taken a back seat to raising her child. She might regret it at first. When she realizes the joy and meaning that her child holds, she will gladly accept her role. A new mom realizes that she loves someone else more than herself on Mother's Day. As she looks upon her innocent baby she believes in the possibilities of mankind once again. Her heart becomes unhardened, her sarcasm removed, and she believes in miracles once again. A new mother finds herself on Mother's Day. She realizes her great duty and the fulfillment that comes with it.
