ALT-3 Suvs are they Worth it
Having a back injury is not easy to live with. Driving a car can turn into major back pain, and I will have to go to the Doctors for pain medication. I had a truck, but I could not fit all of my family in it. So, I went out and bought a Saturn car it was a great car. However, my back pain started back and I couldn't figure out why. My Doctor told me it was the car that was making my back worse. To get in and out of the car was irritating the old herniated disk injury, so I traded the car in for a Mitsubishi,Montero Sport. My back will not allow me to sit in a low seat or I will end up in Urgent Care. Having a herniated disk is no fun. I feel fine when I do not have to bend.Some people do have a hatred for the SUV's. They say it does not get good gas mileage. If they were in my shoes they would understand, that I have to drive this vehicle because of medical reasons. I feel that SUV's are worth it, especially if you have a lower back problem and need a vehicle with height-so you do not have to bend down in a car. I am for the Environment and do all I can to help out around my home.It is good news to hear that the car dealerships are making more vehicles hybrids, and electric. They are making Trucks and SUV's with better fuel economy standards. I am against the fuels that are polluting our planet. I am doing what I can to make my SUV pollute less. By keeping up with the oil changes, keeping the air filter clean and other regular maintenance.I am planning on buying a Terra Pass to help out the environment. I plan my route carefully so I can drive less. I would take the bus, but I cannot walk that far to the bus stop. I will continue to drive my SUV and hope I can save for a new hybrid some day. Yes, SUV's are worth it even if you do not have a back injury.I use to live in the High Desert where there were no paved roads and it was all dirt. Mud and snow in the Winter and what a mess, but my SUV made it home and back to work every day. So, if you are in need of a good vehicle, get a newer model SUV, plan your outings carefully and have fun driving.
