ALT-3 Planning a Romantic Valentines Day at Home

From 3arf

The perfect Valentine day dinner is one that is shared by two people who love each other, so why not have the foods they love at home. There is no regulation to say that a Valentines Day dinner needs to be very expensive in order to be romantic or that it needs to be in a restaurant for that matter. I am cheap I freely admit that, and I am not too romantic, but those things tend to take care of them selves some times.

Some people prefer a night out on the town, with Steak, seafood, and champagne, but my taste are more laid back like me. I do not eat steak, and would much rather eat my beef in a hamburger or stir-fry. Seafood, well only plain breaded shrimp is more my style. My ideal special Valentines Day meal is tastier and better suited to me simpler palate.

I am thinking about nice cheesy lasagna, perfect sauce not to tomato tasting, plenty of homemade bread shared with Ray my Valentine. This way the food and the company are great. If I add some candles to the table and play some nice music softly in the background, a romantic dinner for two will be more enjoyable then sitting in some crowded restaurant where it is hard to hear the conversation.

If you are cooking at home here are some cheaper alternatives to fancy over priced restaurants that are tasty and good for the budget. .

Valentines Day Dinner #1Go to your local store and grab two ham steaks, a bag of potatoes, and some cheddar cheese. Make scalloped potatoes and nice ham steaks. Serve this with a green salad and crescent rolls and it makes a great meal. Add wine, beer but the best option here is a glass of milk to complement the scalloped potatoes.

Valentines Day dinner #2You could go to the store and by two small Cornish game hens, and two large baking potatoes and the other items to make baked potatoes, some fresh vegetables. Add fresh rolls, and enjoy. Add a beverage and you are set.

Valentines Day Dinner #3If you and your Valentine prefer grilled cheese and tomato soup, far be it for anyone to say you cannot share that meal on Valentines Day, as long as you are with the one you love any meal for Valentines Day is just fine.

Valentines Day Dinner #4Spaghetti on one plate along with two forks, plenty of bread makes a wonderful Valentines dinner just as steak and seafood does. This is very romantic and is perfectly acceptable if you have been married forever or other wise been together for years.

Light two nice candles and you can have a romantic dinner at home, just send the kids to grandma's house for the night so there will be no interruptions at your Valentine Day dinner. If you want to spring for flowers, a new CD of romantic music it would be wonderful.
