A thoughtful gift to a loved person is not necessarily an expensive one, and all you need to come up with a real nice one is a bit of imagination and a lot of love. 3. Personalized T-shirts/ Mugs/ Pillow cases. These items can be found in specialized stores and can be personalized in any way you want. It also doesn't need to be extremely expensive and it's really nice and thoughtful. Plus, every time he/she wears it, they will be reminded of you.
4. Gift card. These have recently become a popular gift and it's a great idea for those who don't have that much imagination or creativity. Just go to their favorite store and ask for a gift card. It's nice that they can go and buy anything they want, and it also doesn't need to be expensive, since you can choose the amount of money you want this gift card to value.
5. Framed picture. Pick your favorite picture of them, or of you together and frame it nicely. They will certainly appreciate it, and it's also not that expensive.
6. Annual magazine subscription. If you know the topics they are most interested in, or their hobbies, this gift would not be so difficult to get. It's not so expensive that it will put a dent in your wallet, and it will remind them all year long about your thoughtful gift.
7. Christmas ornaments. These are really nice to decorate your house, and it would be even nicer if it had some sort of meaning for the two of you or for that person. With all the choices you have, there is definitely something that person will enjoy.
