Young girls tend to be the easiest to buy for in my opinion, but perhaps that is because it was not such a long time ago that I too was a young girl and its easy for me to remember what gifts I most loved back then.
My niece is 14. Often I have her Christmas presents a month before I even start shopping for anyone else. I do not do this on purpose. There are just so many options for her. She is truly a pleasure to buy gifts for, unlike the rest of the family. Also, being one of 6 children, she is very grateful for any small piece of luxury that sets her aside from the multitude of siblings she has.
Clothing is a very popular choice for young girls, but this can be difficult depending on their age group. If they are very young, it would be easy to find something they like. However, if they are older, in their eary teens or somewhere around that age, they will already have their own tastes and preferences, so this decision becomes a little trickier. For my niece, it is easy. I am still young enough to pick what I know she will like, but if in doubt, a clothing voucher to her favourite store is always a winner.
Pamper items are always appreciated always. Items such as bath oils, moisturiser and depending on their age, make up. Make sure you actually take the effort to pick items you know they will like, and not just find a quick, pre-made gift basket to save the trouble. Find items that you know they will use. If the girl you are buying for enjoys relaxing in a bubble bath, then some nice bath oil would be good, but if she is not really keen, this would be pointless. Lip glosses and shimmer powders are also ideal, because we do not want to see little girls with heavy make up.
Often young girls would be very appreciative of a day out as well. Perhaps take them to see a movie they want and buy them lunch. Or give them the chance to dress up pretty and take them out for dinner. Theme parks are also a big winner for boys and girls. But make sure they are keen on rides before you pick one to go to. No point if they are too scared to ride the rides.
The options for buying young girls gifts between $20 and $30 are endless. If in doubt, always think of what you know they like. Whether it be clohing, music, make up and buy them a voucher at that store. As unpersonal as it may seem, at least they have a chance to pick the things they want.
