ALT-3 Fun Fathers Day Activities for Kids

From 3arf

A pole with a squirmy worm on the end of it. What more could a Father want for a fun Father's Day? How about a day of fishing with the kids? June is a month of fun for families and a day to celebrate the joy that a Father can bring to a family. When families can get together, that in itself can make the day for any Dad.

Fishing is one of the joys in life that everyone can enjoy. The experience can be relaxing and exciting at the same time. The first time a toddler casts a pole with a line on it brings smiles to all faces, Dad's especially! Fishing is something that Dad can help make part of an ongoing lifetime activity. As long as a stream or lake are nearby, a desire to cast and fish will become a natural part of life.

A good old fashioned barbecue in the backyard is inviting to Dad and the whole family. A sweet, saucy barbecue chicken can be devoured by all. Tossing a few ears of sweet corn on the grill can add to a true country barbecue. Kids can provide Dad with new grilling tools to add a little additional excitement to the mix. Dad will probably even let the kids try them out. Wan to add a little more fun to the barbecue? Throw down a large tablecloth in the backyard and enjoy your meal in a picnic type atmosphere. Kids will love sitting on the ground, eating with Dad and any ants that make an appearance.

A lot of our kids today just loathe for a few moments with attention from Dad. One of the most fun activities most kids will enjoy is spending time with Dad. Get out a ball and play a game of kickball. The baseball gloves along with a ball can also provide hours of father/child bonding time. We all live in such a fast paced world, and we sometimes forget that our kids appreciate the intangibles more than the tangibles. Love and attention will mean more to our kids than anything else.

If weather permits, building a sandcastle along the beach will let imaginations run wild. Be sure you have packed the sunscreen, sun hats, and beach toys. When Dad can put his mind together with a young toddler a castle unlike nothing seen before will arise out of the sand. Again, just by spending time with a child, everyone will have a good time!

According to the calendar, Father's Day only comes one time a year. Why not make every day Father's Day? Dad's work hard all year long and love their children unconditionally. They may not always love what their children do, but they will always love their children for who they are. Appreciating each other and spending time together each day will make Father's Day a fun day for all!
