ALT-2 Where to get Valentines Clipart for your greetings
If you're making your own Valentine's this year or wanting to decorate your MySpace page, a great place to get clip art is on-line. From cupids to decorative hearts, you can find what you need for free.
These are personally selected websites that yours truly will be using this Valentine's season. After looking through several sites that have a lot of clip art and graphics, but not very good quality, I have taken measures on finding the best ones to use.
Here is a list of websites to browse for great Valentine's Day clip art:
CLIP ART websites:
The Kaboose Family Network: http://holidays.kaboose.com/val-clip-index.html
Mickey and Minnie Valentine clip art: http://spazioinwind.libero.it/brazil63disneypages/disney/disneyvalentinesclipart.htm
CatStuff Cat Valentine clip art:http://www.xmission.com/~emailbox/holiday.htm

There are so many different ways you can apply these clip art designs to your own Valentine's cards. One way is to copy and paste into a Microsoft Word document, print, cut out, then paste to your own card. Another way is to save to your computer, edit it in the Paint program by changing the size and the color, then print onto photo paper. This technique will give your card a unique look. I have used the latter method and the results look great!
If you are looking for Valentine's clip art or graphics for your own website or to decorate a MySpace page or blog, use animated art or gif's for a cool movement effect. Here are some websites that offer free animated pictures:

Searching for your own graphics and making your own cards can take more time than going to a store and buying a box of pre-made cards. However, you can customize the card to coordinate with a person's character. For example, if a card is for a child, and the child loves Sponge Bob Square Pants, then print out a picture of the cartoon character. The picture doesn't have to be Valentine-looking, just paste it onto a heart, add a cute caption and voila! You have a special customized Valentines greeting. It's that simple.
With a little creativity, your Valentines will be truly unique and original. Everyone will enjoy receiving a card from you knowing that you took the extra time to hand-make a card just for them.
