  • Wear a helmet.
  • Take alone a first aid kit, so if you get hurt you can start immediate first aid care on yourself, if possible.
  • Carry a cell phone. Wrap it up carefully, and place it in a well secured luggage compartment that is sized just right for your motorcycle's size and weight. Call 911 as soon as possible if you have had an accident. Timing is everything.
  • Tell your loved ones where you're going, and how long you intend to be gone. A motorcyclist who does this may just help save his life one day. A concerned lovrd one of a motorcrclist may have noticed that their loved one should have been home by a certain time. A motorcyclist could get in their car and drive in the area they think this motorcyclist has gone.

Safety while motorcycling in the rain is more than just about themselves. It's about the concerns of others who have been left behind, that for good reasons worry.
