ALT-2 Tips for Enjoying new Years Eve as a Family

From 3arf

Bringing in the new year doesn't have to be expensive at all. Here are some pointers if you have young kids at home.

Go to your local dollar stores and shop around. Pick up some noise makers for the kids, they love them! Get some decorations too. Streamers, balloons, and confetti are big hits with kids. Buy some poster board and write out "happy new year" and other sayings in bubble letters. Let the kids color them in with markers or crayons. They will have a blast. After they are done, have them help you hang them around the house.

Pick up some snack food. Chips and dip, cheese and crackers, and some candy if you'd like. Dont forget drinks for everybody!

Have the kids invite over some of their friends. They will have some more fun with them.

Play some kid friendly music. Dance and sing around the house to get things going. Grab the kids and have them dance and sing with you around the house. You could even grab your hair brushes out of the bathroom to use as microphones!

After the ball drops, sing and celebrate some more with the kids. Let them tire themselves out, if they already aren't tired enough to go to bed. After they go to bed, pick up the mess that you all have made. Don't do it while they are still awake. It might ruin their fun.

Happy New Year Everybody! Stay Safe!
