ALT-2 Thanksgiving Prayers and Blessings
"Give thanks, with a grateful heart, give thanks, to the Holy One, Give thanks, because He's given, Jesus Christ, His Son"
Dear God, thank you for this life, for the ability to think, to walk, to talk, to see, to hear and to feel. Thank You for the chance to love and to share our life with others. Thank You for this world with the warm sunshine, the cooling rain, the beautiful rainbow, the fresh smelling flowers, the shady trees and all the wonderful animals. When we look at the wonders of nature and things around us, we can see Your work and Your power. When Jesus Christ died for us on the cross, we see Your amazing grace, great mercy and endless love. Thank you Lord, praise your Holy Name.
Thank You my Lord and Savior for coming into my life. Thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness and for all the beloved people you have brought into this life. Thank you for the chance to love, to learn, to work and to play. Thank God for so many salvations during these years. Praise Your Name, Hallelujah!
God, please bless the people around us that they will see Your love and be thankful too. God, please bless this world and all the living things with peace, joy and hope. Please help us not be take things for granted but help us to be thankful for the seemingly small things in life. Help us not to focus on what we do not have but be thankful for what we do have. Teach us to be a blessing to others and to have compassion for the less fortunate.
