Thanksgiving is when you have one of the largest meals of the year. Turkey, ham, peas, dressing and a couple dozen cakes or pies line the table. You stuff yourself and wish you could have the meal all year long. You can, just because it's not actually Thanksgiving doesn't mean you can't eat the dinner. You may just want to tone it down a bit when it's not actually the holiday. There is nothing that says you can't have Thanksgiving dinner in July or even December for that matter. It's your dinner and it's entirely up to you when you have it. If you have family in from out of state that won't be in town when the holiday gets here you have an excuse to have Thanksgiving dinner.
