ALT-2 Is Giving really better than Receiving – Yes
For many years, we have been told that giving is good for us, giving is good for others, giving is good for everyone. And that means giving is better than receiving. Or is it? Well, let’s find out.
There are a lot of stories that tell us giving is better than receiving. They are more or less the same though. The main character of the story helps the poor in need and the poor will give him something back as reward, something that the main character had been longing for a long period of time. He would be very happy then. Not only because he had got what he had dreamt of owning for a long period of time, but also because he can enjoy the happiness with the helped man.
The stories are used to educate our next generations to give. But they are also suitable for proving that giving is much better than receiving. Not only we can get our rewards after giving, but also we can enjoy the ‘real’ happiness with the one being helped.
And having the ability to help others is quite worth-celebrating too. This is because you are quite helpful. You can do something that others cannot do. With this, you can help improving the living quality of the whole society, or maybe even the world by helping others. No matter how you helped or what you helped, you could be the hero in other’s eye. And nobody hates to be a hero, I guess?
On the other hand, to be the one being helped by others means you are lack of the ability to do something. You are on the back foot. But don’t you worry, everyone have their own strengths. People are born to help each other by giving. This is how we bring our society forward.
However, the result may not be the same as you have expected sometimes. Or in other words, not as good as you had thought. You may get nothing for return. The one you had helped may not feel better too. (To be honest, sometimes, being helped does not feel good.) But at least you can tell anyone that you have tried your very best to help, which people will be very likely to admire the effort you have paid.
Answering the big question, and of cause it is a big yes. Giving is really better than receiving.
