Positive people are enthusiastic and do not allow temporary setbacks to stop them from finding the solutions to problems or difficulties. They will think creatively and laterally to find a way around the setback towards a solution. When negative people hit a snag, they get more pessimistic as they concentrate on the problem rather than the solution.

Positive people will try new ideas or procedures rather than dismissing them immediately. Negative people will immediately dismiss ideas and procedures just because they are new. They fail to embrace new technology and this can make them seem reactionary, inflexible and obstructive in the workplace.
