ALT-2 Great Christmas Stocking Stuffer Ideas for your Teen Girl

From 3arf

A stocking is a gift bag disguised as a sock. You can buy them in all sorts of shapes, sizes and designs and personalize them for every person in your family. As the years have gone by, the stocking presents have become less that traditional to the point that most anything goes now.

Small gifts fit better in a stocking. They are just additions to bigger presents so they can be inexpensive or just fun gadgets that wouldn't be otherwise thought of. You can put the presents in unwrapped, or if you think they will get peeked at, wrap them up.

Hygiene products are fun for teens. Give her small trial size bottles of her favorite perfumes, lotions and other items. Give her small bottles of fingernail polish, Chap Stick or makeup. Hair-bows and hair care products make great stocking stuffers also!

Trinkets and jewelry go well with teens of all ages. Get them small simple pieces. Don't pick out items that they will never wear. Charm bracelets, beads, and jelly bracelets make great stuffers.

Teens like the idea of privacy. Give them a journal, diary, photo album, stationary, greeting cards, or other ways to communicate their thoughts and feelings. You may also want to throw in stickers, crayons, markers, or other creative utensils.

Collectibles are usually a big hit. Teddy bears, figurines, candles, key chains, and miniatures all make terrific gifts. Include practical items such as socks, gloves, scarves, or house- shoes.

Include last minute items such as batteries and cords. Even if you don't give them something that takes batteries, someone else will. It is best to be prepared. Think ahead about any extras they may need that doesn't come with the actual item.

No stocking can be complete without some food. Throw in a handful of candy, gum, and a few candy canes. Add crackers, chips, or other favorite snacks. Chocolate Santa's are also a great addition! This is probably best added last so that it isn't crushed.

Give the stocking a personal touch. Include a hand written letter or card. Tell your teen what a special lady she has become. Sometimes words mean more than people let you believe. For an added bonus, throw in a few dollars, a gift card, or a lottery ticket.

Get your daughter involved. Let them decorate their own stocking. Let everyone in the family fill stockings for each other. This is a fun way to play secret Santa and get ideas for next year, too.
