Gift Ideas for Any Occasion

The right gift for the right person is important. It makes them feel special, loved and truly thought about. I have a couple ideas for gift ideas that can go for any occasion.

First, a handmade coupon book. This coupon book has a variety of coupons specific for the receiver. If you know that the receiver like certain food you make (cookies, brownies, certain meal, etc), certain things you do (foot or back massage, making coffee, etc), doing their favorite activity even though you don't like it (going to a certain movie they like, going to get ice cream - your treat, going for a walk, etc). Use colored construction paper and markers or colored pencils and cut them into the same size. make a front and back cover. The front cover should have something about the event and coupon book, for example Daddy's Father's Day Coupon Book, Donald's Birthday Coupon Book, Tom's Graduation Coupon Book, you get the idea.

Make up two or three of each thing you will be putting into the coupon book on different color paper. When done put all the coupons between the front and back cover and staple. If you have a pair of scissors that make a design those are nice to use as well to cut the coupons out with. Put the coupon book inside the card. I have done this many times and the receiver has always enjoyed it. They will redeem the coupon by showing it to me, they don't want to tear it out of the book. Be creative with this.

Second, make a CD of pictures to send to people who are far away. For Mother's Day this year I made a CD for each of the mothers (my mom and my mother-in-law). It is cheaper to buy a big pack of empty CD's then to make the CD's at your local store. Also, this way, you can personalize the CD better for each person. This is a nice gift because the receiver gets to keep the CD, print whatever pictures they want in the sizes they want. If they have a computer they can do it themselves and if not they can go to the local store and print them off themselves. Also, they can then email the pictures to others if they want. They have the fun of deciding what to do with the pictures.

Again, these are both ideas I have done for my husband, parents, friends, etc. You can be creative with both items to personalize it for the person you are making it for. It will mean a lot to them that you put thought into the gift and that you would make something instead of buying something for them.
