ALT-2 Drunk Drivers Repeat Offenders
Should states issue special license plates to repeat drunk drivers? My answer is a simple, YES. I think a drunk driver gets off to easy and thats why they repeat the problem. No one should be a victim to drunk driver's. The people should know which vehicles are the men and women that drink and drive. It might even help them to quit driving drunk. For if they have to show everyone that they drive drunk a lot with a speical license plate.
I hear almost everyday someone being killed by a drunk driver. My daughter had a school mate and her mother that was killed last year by her own father and husband because he was drinking and driving under the influence. She was only eleven years old. I think it is a shame that children half to suffer because of the foolish parents.
So in my opinion I think it would help if we give repeat offenders a special plate and maybe even a sticker that they have to put up in the back of the window. Children today need to be some what safe. They can't be safe on everything but something like this might at least help some.
The public as a right to know which vechials are on the road that the ower as a drinking promblem. I would not what my family on the road with a repeat drunk driver offender. To many are killed or hurt each year, to have this promblem to keep going.
So, I would give the repeat drunk driver the special license plates and make the roads a little safer for everyone else.
I also think that parents and school teachers both should teach children today about the danger of driving under the influence. When the children are in the eight grade, they should have a speical class for about a week, just talking about the danger of drinking and drinking under the influence. I don't know if they have anything like that in high school, when the are taking drivers Ed or not, but if not they should. So, when they get there license to drive maybe they most likely won't drink while driving. Everyone was a right to be safe on and off the roads. The states should help in any way they can. The should also make the driver pay extra for the special license plate, if the can pay for the liquor, then they can pay for the special license plate. I will repeat this again that maybe it will help them if the know they have to pay extra and have the embarrassing license plate showing everyone that they got caught drinking not once but a few times might sober them up. I know if it was me, it would embarrass me enough for me to quit.
