ALT-2 Are Paid Surveys a Scam
Wherever you search on google, yahoo, or msn for making money, you come across an article which talks about paid surveys. And you wonder whether all these articles and the reviews about paid surveys are false.
Surveys can be seen as a scam or a way to get money for something you love to do. I have been taking surveys for a long time and my hourly rate is definitely not above or close to the minimum wage in Canada. So yes, in terms of money/hour surveys can be seen as a scam.
But there is another side to it. Surveys are fun for people like me. I even do free surveys because I know that they are used by a company to determine future products, and that in itself is something worth the time to take the survey. I have taken over 50 surveys, and I know I must have influenced some marketing decisions of companies.
At the same time I get a couple of dollars paid for it, which is worth the time and the effort. Paid surveys are really paid. If your concern is whether you will be paid or not, then you don't need to worry. Most survey companies listed at the top on Google will pay you once you reach their minimum payout. I have been recently paid by SurveySpot through check and it was received on time and there were no problems.
Yes, you can make money from surveys and they are paid surveys; but at the same time they scam your time and you end up making around $4-$6 for a one hour long survey and on top of that you have to check your e-mail on regular basis.
But beware that there are sites which scam and do not pay for taking surveys. I have never joined a site which has a negative reputation, and that is why I have never been scammed.
But there is another point that I want to make. If you don't match the criteria of the survey, you will be kicked out and you will not get paid. I was taking a survey for 20 minutes and I got kicked out because the filter figured out that my responses didn't match the criteria. At times like these you may feel that you have been scammed.
So my advice to you would be if the survey doesn't relate to you or your family, then don't do it. If you don't like drinking beer, don't do a survey on beer because the chances are you will probably be kicked out of the survey.
Paid surveys are a scam if you join the ones that scam you, or if you don't set up your profile properly. Paid surveys are not scams if you enjoy taking surveys and take a little cash reward for helping companies or government figure out where they are lacking.
Paid surveys are what you make them for yourself.
