ALT-29 Best Reasons to Marry
I think that the best reasons to marry are:
Reason #1: You have come to the conclusion that you cannot live without him/her.
Love is an important factor in a successful marriage. If you love your companion you will want to spend the rest of your life with him/her; and you will be more willing to deal with his/her faults and thus you will be able to commit to one another.
Reason #2: It is the right time for both of you.
If you have known each other for some time and you feel that your relationship is secure enough and on top of that everybody around you is asking you "why don't you guys get married; you'll make a perfect couple." Then you should know that it is really the right time.
Reason #3: She/he is trustworthy.
By now you know that she/he is someone in whom you can put your trust. You know that you won't have to be suspicious of her/him in any way; and mostly you know that she/he will honor you always.
Reason#4: You are financially secure.
This mostly applies to men. Usually men who want to get married are financially secure. They know that they will be able to provide for their wives and children later. It also makes them more confident when it comes to making a marriage proposal and it certainly would boost their self esteem when it comes to meeting the in-laws!
Reason #5: To have children.
It might be that it is part of your culture or your religion to bring up children inside the sacred union of marriage. It might also be that you would love your children to have those same intellectual qualities and those same moral values as your companion; and it might be simply that you do not want anyone else to be the mother/father of your children.
Reason#6: To share your knowledge, hobbies, success, failures, and sadness.
Not only do you want someone with whom to share your favorite activities but also you would like someone to be there when you need her/him the most.
