Almost every business idea can be researched, planned, and implemented using the Internet, making it possible for anyone to work at home.
How do you work at home?
One way is to telecommute.
If your boss is sympathetic, you could negotiate to work at home, say, twice a week, and arrange for meetings to take place on the days you are physically at the office.
The other way to work at home is to be an entrepreneur.
You could work at home as a network marketer. You could work at home using your professional skills in a freelance or consulting capacity. You could work at home as an Internet marketer. If you are a skilled administrator, you could work at home as a virtual assistant, helping others to set up their businesses so they, too, can work at home. You could work at home as a writer, a website designer, a life coach.
You don't even need to leave your current job to work at home. You could use your spare time to create a business that eventually lets you work at home for good.

1. Know your type. People who work at home can be frustrated by the isolation, the distractions, money issues and the self-discipline needed when there is no one to set deadlines or inquire after your progress. Are you the right type to work at home?2. What are your passions, skills, talents? What do people need that they would gladly pay for? See if you can find a viable business idea in the overlap.3. Talk to your accountant about the tax implications of different business structures and what sorts of business expenses count as tax deductions.4. Learn about complying with legal requirements, establishing a safe workplace, managing finances, business planning, and business promotion.5. Ensure that your finances are in good shape and that you can afford to work at home.6. Become a whiz at using the Internet.7. Create a plan, set goals and review them regularly.8. Check if you are eligible for a government grant. If you require a loan, prepare a business proposal and see your banker.
