ALT-1 Worst Fathers Day Gifts
Father's Day has always been about appreciating fathers all around the world, not presents. Over many generations we have lost the true meaning of Father's Day. Although, if you can afford a present to go along with your gratitude of your father then that's great! Make sure you get him the right presents.
Meaningless
Who wants a present that doesn't mean anything, especially on such a significant day? Meaningless gifts are the worst, and very disappointing. How did you feel during the holidays when you opened a present and it was socks? Most objects may mean different things to different people. One object could mean the world to a person, and to another, it's useless. Make sure you choose an object that has meaning to your father, and always comes back to you so it is a long lasting memory.
Hurtful
A present that attacks or makes fun of your father is a no-no! He is suppose to be thanked and shown love, not made fun of with vulgar remarks. T-shirts are a great way to show your dad he's the best, and he can show everyone else you think so too! It can say... #1 Dad, and My Dad Rocks! Show the world you love him, and that alone will make him feel great!
Money
Fathers don't need your money in card from Hallmark that tells a cheesy joke! Money is not the way to go. It shows you lack of creativity, and how well you don't know your own father. Use the money to buy something that will mean something to him. How about that set of golf clubs he has always wanted so he could play, and don't forget to pay for a trip to the gold course and hit some golf balls as a family! The family part, yeah, that is the most important.
Quick Fix
A father can tell when last minute, you went to a store and just picked up anything you thought would "work" as present. A alarm goes of in his said saying... "Wow, you spent time looking for this", and that is NOT what you want. Don't wait last minute to get him something that doesn't mean anything!
The moral of the story is, that you need to really show your father that you love him this Father's Day and every day after. Remember that presents and their price tag don't mean a thing. It's the meaning, and thought that counts!
