ALT-1 Valentines Day Celebrating on a Budget
Can there be a price tag put on romance? Of course there can, especially for those who equate love with money. On the other hand those of a pure and noble heart know true love is priceless and romance cannot be bought.
Valentine’s Day is recognized as a day for lovers to shower their hearts delight with gifts and words of endearment. It is a day set aside for romance. Those of the female persuasion especially hold this day dear and cherish the tokens of love showered upon them. The question is what is a husband, lover or suitor to do when the heart is welling but the pockets are not deep? Not to fear, romance need not empty to coffers.
A lovely bouquet of wild flowers, trimmed and tied with a ribbon can be more beautiful than two dozen roses prepared by a stranger. The effect is even more pronounced when the bouquet is placed on the seat of the fair lady’s car. Or if the funds are available for a dozen roses, do not present them all at once. Have them placed so your intended finds them one by one throughout the day.
Once the flowers have been decided upon the next step to melt your true loves heart is expression of your feelings. Small notes written on lovely, but inexpensive stationary letting her know how you feel placed so they are found throughout the day. Music is also another way we can express our love and desire for each other. Place a cd of love songs in her car with the words play me written upon it. What a glorious way to drive to work hearing the sound track of your love.
As the day draws to a close prepare a simple but beautifully presented meal. Seat you love and serve them as if they were in the finest restaurant. Candles to light the room, soft music in the background there is nothing more romantic. Make sure to dress in your finest for the evening. For even a night at home can be treated as an elegant event.
Sitting in front of the fire with a glass of wine expressing to each other what you feel. Holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes is worth more than gold. Anybody can pick up candy and flowers, but to give ones heart that is true romance.
Listen to your heart. Allow it to lead. It costs nothing to say I Love You.
