ALT-1 Thoughtful Fathers Day Sayings
You may be one of those children who reminds your father of your love regularly but for the majority of children they forget to say something special to their father because he is taken for granted in the busy lives that they lead. How wonderful it would be on father's day to say something thoughtful to the father who brought you up to remind him of your love for him.
First and foremost, 'I love you dad' is the most thoughtful and loving sayings that makes being a parent worthwhile. It is bringing to your lips the feelings in your heart and expressing them without holding back. It is the bond between two people that is being fortified and this saying should be expressed regularly to remind each other of the love that is within us but needs to be put into words.
'Thanks for everything you have done for me dad' is another saying that expresses the love a child has experienced in the actions of their father on a day to day basis. From the moment a child comes into the world until the time he goes to school or starts work the parent is actively involved in some aspect of that child's life. It could be dropping him to school or work, it could be helping the child pay for university fees, it could be teaching the child a new skill or it could be babysitting for the grandchild. The list of things that a parent does are endless, a thank you sometimes and especially on father's day would be a beautiful way to express a whole year's thanks into one special thank you.
'Thank you for always being there dad' and 'you are special to us dad' are also sayings that will help to bring a smile on your dad's face and maybe a tear too. Some dads are not very good at being expressive and their actions speak louder than their words. Take time to remind them that their love has not gone unnoticed over the years.
'Just knowing that you are there dad is enough for me' and 'dad, your presence is enough to make me feel safe' are other sayings that come to mind when I remember the time my children have expressed their love for their dad. As my youngest daughter sometimes says to me, 'dad does not need to say a word and yet the fact that he is around me is enough to make me feel so secure and safe.' A mother will be expressive and talkative whereas the dad might be the opposite but that does not make his love any less. Sigmond Freud's saying 'I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection' comes to mind.
'I wish you health and happiness in your life dad' is another thoughtful saying that comes from the heart. Seeing your father healthy and happy affects the chi of the whole household. His laughter and jokes and activities around the house makes the household complete.
'I am proud of you dad' or 'you are brilliant dad' are praises that will all add to his father's day happiness. So is the saying 'you are the best, dad' because as far as you are concerned there is no father in the world like him. He is the best for you and your family.
As for me all I can say to my dad is beautifully expressed in an anonymous saying 'the greatest gift I ever had Came from God, and I called him Dad!'
