ALT-1 Things to do with Dad on Fathers Day

From 3arf

There is no end to the things that you can do with your dad on Father’s Day, you could visit a Theme Park if he likes rides, take a trip to the local race car track or even go hiking.  The choices are endless, there are just two rules that you need to follow.  One, dad doesn’t pay for anything.  Two, he doesn’t do any of the work.

Rent a Antique Car

If you dad is a car lover, try to find something local to take him to pertaining to cars.  Check around to see if there are any car shows going on or take him down to the track to see the car races.  If you can arrange it, rent a hot rod or another type of antique car for the day to drive dad around in it.

Play a Round of Golf

Buy dad a round of golf and then join him on the range on Father‘s Day, no matter how bad you are.  If you are terrible, let dad show you how to play without arguing with him (for a change).  After, follow it up with a trip to his favorite place to eat.

Rent a Boat and Go Fishing

If you don’t have your own boat, check around to see if you can rent one for the day.  Pack up all of the necessary food and beverages, tackle and bait and then take dad out on the lake.  If he doesn’t have his own boat and does a lot of shore fishing, this will be a real treat for him.  Just don’t forget the sun block and the hats.

Treat Dad to the Movies

Let dad pick out whatever movie that he wants to go see and take him to it.  Also let him choose whatever he wants at the concession stand, no matter if you think he should be eating it or not.

If there are no movies out at the time that he wants to go and see, take him to the rental store to rent a movie.  Once the movie is chosen, swing by where ever he wants to get something to take home and eat while you are watching the movie.

Take Him to the Firing Range

A man interested in guns usually does not get very many chances to fire them outside of hunting season.  Find a firing range in your area, even if it is 2 hours away and take dad to it.  Call ahead and make sure that they are open and if they have any firearm restrictions before you drive all the way up there.  Even if you don’t fire the gun yourself, your dad will be like a kid in a candy store being able to fire his gun for most of Father’s Day.
