If there is any day, on which you absolutely should give a gift to your mom, it's mothers day. Whether you still live with her or not, she will be expecting something, and you should willingly give it. But, what if you don't have very much money, what to do then? - 1. A Family PortraitIf your mom is anything like my mom, she actually likes getting pictures of all of us as one family, and if your family is anything like my family, you only get your portrait taken whenever the fire department is having a fund-raiser, and selling pictures. So your mom might just like it, if you got all of your siblings together, and took a family portrait. Be sure everyone dresses the best, and smiles for the camera, remember this one's for mom.
- 2. Perfume.If there is one gift that kids have always given their moms, and that their moms have always seemed like, would be perfume. What ever scent she prefers, would probably make a good Mothers Day gift as well. Many of these perfumes go from $10 to around $40, but you should be able to find one in the middle price range.
- 3. Her Favorite Book On CDI have given my mom plenty of books over the years, and she has yet to read a whole one. She is a nurse so she is extremely busy, and never has the time. If your mom is like that too, why not give her her favorite book on CD, she can listen to it in the car, or while she's exercising, and still hear her favorite authors new work.
- 4. Fresh FlowersOne of my favorite gifts is to give my mom fresh roses, because they are her favorite flower. We usually send them to her work, on the Friday before Mother's Day, and then she leaves them on our dining room table, where the rest of the time. If you go to any grocery store, they probably will have fresh flowers for you to choose from. But try not to go, too close to the Sunday, or you won't have any left to choose from.
- 5. Spa BasketAnother great gift idea for your mom, is to put a lot of her favorite soaps, shampoos, scrubs and other things, in a pretty basket. Ad a few little figurines for decoration, and maybe a CD for relaxation, and there you go, a spa basket.
