Mother's Day is about moms and their children. Over the years, society has turned Mother's day, just like every other holiday, into a commerical freenzey. People buy cards and gifts for their aunts, friends, co-workers anyone who is someone's mother.Mother's day has become all about gifts. Left by the wayside, is the true meaning of Mother's day. Showing your mother, your love and apperiation for her for all that she does for you.
Being a single mom of a infant or toddler, can make a celebration more of a challenge. If this is your situation, then mother's day will most likely be just like any other day. In order to compensate, do something nice for yourself. Buy yourself some flowers, candy or that purse you've had your eye on.
If you have young children spend the day together at the park, have a picnic. Help your child make an art's and craft project that you can proudly display.
If your children are school age, there are lots of things you can do. Pick your favorite activity, that you know your child already enjoys and go have fun!
Teenagers are old enough to know how to celebrate Mother's day with you.
Not having a husband or partner should in no way effect, you celebrating your day. As long as you spend it with your children and have a good time, I'd say it was a Happy Mother's Day!
