ALT-1 Make Money with Surveys

From 3arf

Anybody who has researched the possibilities for making money online has come across the idea of filling out online surveys for cash.  If you are anything like me, you probably had dreams of making money by the boat-load and being able to take big vacations from the profits made from taking surveys.  But that's very unrealistic.  Online surveys can pay a few bills, but isn't a long-term solution to big money problems.  If you plug along and spend a few minutes every day or every week, you can find yourself with a nice pay-out by the end of the year.

The truth is that you will never make a dime with most survey websites available.  There are simply too many scams.  Finding good, reputable survey websites is the most difficult part to make money with surveys.  I would suggest visiting the websitewww.surveyscout.comto view the database of hundreds of survey websites.  But more importantly, visit my list of the best survey websites.  This will narrow your primary search down to the top three websites that I have used over the course of the last five years.  I have registered my main email address with these three websites and receive email invitations every day that amount to approximately $15 per day in rewards through a number of surveys.  The average survey offers an incentive of approximately $2.00 per survey.

Finding good websites that actually pay is only step one.  The most important step is to commit to actually taking surveys.  If you don't put in the time, you will never make any money.  And if you look at the time it takes to complete a survey and the reward associated with it, you might feel discouraged.  After all, why would I want to spend a bunch of my time doing something that only pays me about $6.00 per hour.  Aside from the fact that the $6.00 per hour is untaxed, think about what else you might be doing instead during that 15 minutes.  Playing games online?  Sacrifice one game and fill out a survey instead!

If you commit to taking five surveys per week (one survey per work day that you can do on one of your breaks) and get paid $2.00 for each of those surveys, that would give you $10 per week and $520 for the year!  Not bad!  Imagine if I took every paid survey that was available to me.  I would make about $15 per day, or about $3,900 per year!  That's enough to pay for a nice vacation every year!  Granted, I don't have the time to fill out that many surveys every workday because I work, but if I wanted to go home and spend an extra hour or so, it would be more than attainable.

The general idea, though, is to be honest.  I get sent a lot of surveys.  And some of the higher incentive surveys are about alcoholic beverages.  And it's clear that they only want to hear from people who consume these beverages regularly. I could lie about my use, but that goes against everything these surveys are trying to accomplish.  And if these companies end up getting too many surveys that are untruthful they will look elsewhere for their market research, leaving us survey-takers without surveys to complete!

So follow these guidelines and you are sure to make enough money to pay off some bills and even have some fun with!  Good luck!
