ALT-1 Magnetic Bumper Stickers
I love reading bumper stickers. I try to do it as a passenger though and not as a driver in case I rear end somebody. I think bumper stickers brighten up a dreary world and they are fun most of the time. Some are very clever and others are just plain stupid. I like the funny ones the best. We need to laugh more when we're on the road. There are too many grumpy people getting into road rage fights. Lets enjoy a bit of laughter as we drive and brighten up the world a little bit.
Bumper stickers come in all kinds. There are funny ones, political ones, religious ones and environmental ones. There are probably bumper stickers on every subject under the sun. Some cars are literally covered in them. Must be somebody who wants to draw attention to themselves or else they have a message to send to the world. Some are written so small though it can be difficult to read them unless you get very close. This can cause accidents so not recommended.
A lot of bumper stickers are about men and women with women putting messages about men on their cars and vice versa. These can be funny or even sometimes rude. I think most people would take it as a joke and not get too serious about it. Women drivers take a lot of stick from men so maybe they want to get their own back using bumper stickers.
I don't care much for all the serious bumper stickers people use when they get all political and want to try to force people to think like them. I think bumper stickers should be fun and give us all a laugh. I know some people will use them to advertise their business and that's fine. But what is the point of making political statements on the back of a car? Bumper stickers look like fun items and I'm sure that's how they started out. But people see them as a way to get across some serious message and spoil it in my eyes.
Why don't we just all make sure to keep our bumper stickers happy. Don't spoil it by groaning and moaning about something. The road is a dreary enough place without adding to it by posting bumper stickers that are depressing. I don't have a bumper sticker but I think I will get one. Not sure what the message will be but I'll think of something or just buy one ready made with a funny message on it. Whatever one I get it will be one that makes people smile or even laugh out loud. I'll do my bit to cheer up the other drivers on the road and I'll make sure the writing on it is big enough so they don't crash into me trying to read it.
