So technology took your job? Well, its depressing to know a computer is doing your job. However, do not let the fact of a computer replacing get you down. Redundancy can put you in a low place, but there are many ways to get your mojo back. If a computer took your job then it is time you take a different approach to work. You can different approaches such taking classes, attend seminars, learn about the technology which replaced you, become an asset and etc.

Taking classes

When you take classes you can learn a lot about making yourself a better employee. The main reason someone is let go because the company could not find a reason to promote you. Taking classes is beneficial because you get certifications and learn to move laterally at your job. Taking classes may be one of the better decisions you can make. You have to understand you are competing against fresh faces and technology and both come cheap. To avoid redundancy a second time around you should take classes which apply to a position the company will not downsize or eliminate.

Attend seminars

A good way to get back in the market is too network. When you network you may find yourself valuable at another company. Some companies do not like to use technologies as primary source of labor. It is important not to get discouraged, but have natural conversation as you would with your neighbor. Most of time landing a job is not landing a job people hire people to jobs technology is not always the best solution for a company.

Learn about the technology which replaced you

One of the quickest way to make yourself valuable is to learn about the technology which replaced you. Technology is capable of breaking down you can make yourself asset with your ability to address to the problem or to make the technololgy better. Technology can get you paid bigger bucks if there are not many people who know how properly handle the technology you just increased your value.

Become an asset

When you have downtime you should time getting to know other things about the company. When you are helping out other departments you will quickly become indispensable to the company. When you become an asset you will not get laid off the second time around. A good boss takes notice of a valuable employee.
