So your thinking about upgrading your car stereo, well if your a music lover than this is the best upgrade to your car that you can make. When buying new car audio equipment there are a few things your gonna wanna think about before you pick the type of speakers. What are you looking to get out of your speakers, are you looking for a lot of bass, or more towards clarity. How much room do you have in your vehicle that your willing to sacrifice.
If bass and power are the things that you crave, then there is no doubt you need to go with subwoofers. Now there are many different sizes of subs, just because 15 inch subs are about the biggest you can get, I strongly recommend going with 12 inch or 10 inch. You with get much better quality bass out of 10's and 12's. A good place to look is on Ebay, you can usually find very good deals for speakers there. If this is what you are going for then you will also need an amplifier, and make sure when you buy your subs you have a professional tell you what apm will best work for that particular pair. Also remember when you get that loud bass going in your car, the outside of your car may rattle. They sell kits to help insulate the inside of your car, or any car stereo installation shop does it.
So your not looking for the driving bass, or maybe you don't have the room in your car for it but you really want to jam. Well no problem there are other solutions to your problem, and the cheaper idea would be to go with six by nine inch speakers. These speakers are much smaller in size than a subwoofer, but provide terrific sound quality. They even work well with the large system for that extra kick. Now if you have some extra money, and you want a system that is very compact but yet packs a great punch with great quality. Then you can look at buying the Bose car sound system, this is defiantly a great thing to have. It cant provide you with that really driving bass, but its load with amazing sound quality. It is going to be the priciest choice however.
